Targeted specifically at the Australian market and built in Adelaide, Chrysler has recently released a youthful Chrysler Valiant Pacer tribute model with a nod to the sixties era to celebrate their 50 years.
The modern restructure of the renowned Australian classic has resulted in the Chrysler 300 SRT Pacer tribute car, that encompasses both the signature details of the 1969 original Chrysler Valiant Pacer with modern elements.
Introducing the Valiant Pacer
Chrysler released the fast four-door Valiant Pacer midway through 1969. It was a low cost, high powered version of the Valiant Sedan. The Pacer featured a high-performance 6-cylinder engine and a 3-speed manual gearbox with floor shifter. Although the Valiant Pacer wasn’t covered in chrome, it still stood out out with its red and black grille, mag wheel look alike hub caps, special body striping and ‘Pacer 225’ decals. There was a choice of “Wild Blue”, “Wild Red”, or “Wild Yellow” exterior colours.

The core model alone is not short of any niceties – offering 20-inch alloys, Brembo brakes, sports suspension and steering, performance seats, and an impressive 8.4-inch touch screen infotainment system with sat nav, your bases are covered. SRT Performance Pages are standard, alongside a 300km/h speedo, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Built with Performance in mind
Targeted as a performance car for a younger audience, the new Pacer has been fitted out with a 225 cubic inch slant six engine, equally paired to a three-speed manual gearbox.
